Richard Forshee is currently the Associate Director for Research in the Office of Biostatistics and Epidemiology at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research. He leads an interdisciplinary team of scientists who conduct quantitative benefit-risk assessments, develop new methods for analyzing Real World Data, and create health informatics tools to improve the review of adverse event reports.
Dr. Forshee has published more than 60 articles in journals such as the The Lancet, Cancer, Risk Analysis, Journal of the American Public Health Association, and others. He received his Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor in 1994. He was a member of the faculty at Georgetown University, Virginia Tech, and the University of Maryland.
